Casey was born and raised in Michigan. After briefly studying sculpture and music at Michigan State University, she transferred to the College for Creative Studies to pursue a degree in animation with a concentration in business. While in school, Casey completed several animation internships, studied abroad in Ireland, and founded the first student chapter of Women in Animation. Her short films have screened in festivals and galleries in the US and internationally.
Casey currently resides in Los Angeles where she works in animation industry specializing in stop motion and teaches at the Laguna College of Art and Design. She plans to continue to produce her own independent short films and projects. When not making art, Casey enjoys playing marimba, horseback riding, boating, hiking, playing with her dogs, vegan cooking, and great tea.
